Our 99 was actually built in 98. 99 colors were Purple, Yellow, Red and Black This message has been edited by BeWare on 09-08-2004 at 08:37 AM If the car was repainted check to make sure the car wasn't a salvage car. I was gonna put it on Ebay and start a bid at $100,000.00. Well, now the cat is out of the bag, I guess that I'll keep it at least until my daughter is 18. She's now only 18 1/2 months. And CJ, I am gonna send a bill for 2 cents for posting the picture. Just keep on posting it and let's say about 50 million more times, I will earn my first million... ------------------QC24 Hello,
I am wondering if the Prowler was made in Silver in 1999? Also if you know how many they made in Silver for that year. Thanks for the info. Happy ridding
Thanks,
QC24halicat facts and stats on this site say that 2000 was the first year for silver..... ALLEY CAT QC - yes, there were silver Prowlers 'made' in 1999,,,,but are 2000 model year cats. BeWare quote:

It looks like it factory after all, great... FL Phil If the rear view mirror isn't automatic and doesn't have a display the car would not be a 2000 or later model. QC24 I have looked everywhere and I can not find any other 1999 silver Prowlers. I do not think this a factory paint job. Can somebody shed some light on this question.... tangled up in BLUE 2000 model year was the first for silver....it is a repaint, or mistake in the ad....be cautious either way..... dooboy this must be the car from ebay, i was wondering that myself CJ Silver Prowlers were produced for 2000, 2001 and 2002. ed monahan The bumpers should be black and not grey, the interiorer rear view mirror will have the computer numbers for the gas, mpg, temp etc. The bezel around the gearshift should be chrome, not plastic to match the rest of the interior. You can tell simply by looking at the VIN. The wheels should be chrome and not the painted type. QC24 The car is from Ebay VIN#1P3EW65G3XV500602. Item number 2488727285.... what do you think????? Junk???? Good??? What???? idive The car has the black bumpers and chrome shift bezel. Can't tell if it's Plymouth or Chrysler bumpers. None of the pics shows the mirror. I see some problems tho. It's listed as a 99. There is no 99 silvers. The X in his printed VIN# indicates it's a 1999. If you look at the VIN and MDH on the door, it looks to me that the X may actually be a Y which is a 2000, and the MDH looks to me to be 060014 or 060214 for June 2000 or June 2002. Where did you get the build date as 8/98? Also, the seller has a -1 feedback, and that feedback indicates the guy never got title. Seller, a dealer, doesn't offer a replacement, but says its not his fault if it got lost in the mail. The pics don't appear to be taken in front of a dealership of any kind. And it indicates the ad was revised, but when you go to see what he revised, it shows that no revisions show to be made. The ad indicates the car is out of FT LAUDERDALE, FL. Maybe someone can go by and look at this car? 2 hurricanes just passing thru there. I would use caution on this one. I hope you haven't sent the money yet. QC24 I think I will pass on the deal. The whole deal sounds a very fishy. The car might be stolen... They have no business phone or address, they only work with there cell phones. Beware of them on EBay ALLEY CAT Good idea QC, I agree. CJ There will be other opportunities to find a cat. Keep checking our classified ads, too! Norb Schroll We did not purchase it Silver but the only '99 Silver Prowler that I know of is the "Howler Cat" owned by Metalcrafters, now owned by Binh Nguyen that we painted right after we purchased it. It was originally Black when purchased and painted a 4-stage pearl silver by our paint dept.
